As we bid farewell to 2023, it’s time to reflect on another whirlwind of a year for Team Genasys.
So without further ado, this is the year that was about…
A new centre for innovation
We were delighted to open up our Product and Innovation Campus in Stellenbosch, which became the new headquarters of the Genasys Software Solutions division.

New faces aplenty
It’s not just flashy new offices – we welcomed over 45 people to our team over the past 12 months, ending off the year with a team of 150. And we’re not close to being done!

Client success, old and new
We continued to build and grow relationships with clients, hitting milestones and breaking new records. Take a look at the stories behind two fantastic clients below.

We were also delighted to add a number of fantastic new clients and partners to the Genasys family, including MDDUS, a mutual organisation providing dental and medical indemnity to over 56,000 professionals.
Talking of all things insurance
Whether at a conference, in the media or on a podcast, our leadership team enjoyed sharing insight and knowledge on hot topics – from Blueprint Two to attracting talent to your organisation.
Here are a few of our favorites:

And not just that, we put together some really useful white papers to help you modernise for Blueprint Two and how to choose your insurance administration software.

And of course, we coined the term “pro-adaptability”, arguing that businesses who succeed will be those who implement a “pro-adaptive” strategy. Read the white paper and watch our video to find out more!

Providing The Lowdown
We launched a newsletter for those interested in the future of insurance – a weekly digest helping our readers stay in the know of stories shaping the insurance industry.

Investing in the future of insurtech talent
We were delighted to launch our first IT Learnership programme, and welcomed six learners to our Product and Innovation Campus. Just the start of a long-term initiative to recognise and develop new talent.
Supporting the community
We continued to sponsor a local football team – the Mofolo Knights (for the 10th year). We also wore flipflops for the Childhood Cancer Foundations annual Flipflop Day, sprayed, shaved or cut our hair in support of CANSA, wore slippers for the Reach for a Dream Foundation, planted some spekbooms for Earth Day, donated dog food to various shelters for Mandela Day, dressed up as superhero’s for Cupcakes of Hope’s Superhero Day and made Santa Shoeboxes to gift to children over Christmas. Through our partnership with Breeze Go, we also planted over 560 trees during the Tour de Insurtech.
… and talking of the Tour de Insurtech, it was back and bigger than ever!
The third edition of our annual Tour de Insurtech took place in September, where over 60 industry leaders cycled through London, Tunbridge Wells, Nottingham, Bath and Reading, covering just over 340 miles. We also added our first international leg of the tour with a ride through Central Park in New York. The success of the event has promised a forth tour in 2024.
“We’re gonna need a bigger cabinet”
We were honored to again be recognised for our hard work through various awards and nominations:

A massive thank you to each of our clients and partners. We wouldn’t be here without you.
We look forward to another big year in 2024 which will be filled with more growth and some really exciting changes. What exactly those are, you’ll just have to wait and see.
